Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston really were like real-life BFFs on the set of Friends . The latest shred of evidence comes courtesy of Cox, 60, who recently guest-starred on Bella Freud ’s Fashion Neurosis podcast and revealed that Aniston loved borrowing her character Monica’s clothes — so much so that she didn’t give them all back after the show’s series finale. “She took a lot of Monica’s dresses, and she’ll say, ‘Oh yeah, I used to wear this on Friends ,’” Cox told Freud.

“And I mean, it looks great on her. She has a great figure and she’s adorable. But I’m like, ‘Why would you take this floral little prairie dress from Friends ?’ But she holds on to everything.

” For her part, Aniston isn’t shy about the fact that she lifted certain pieces from Monica’s wardrobe and, to this day, keeps them in her closet. The actress has even been known to re-wear some of her favorite items from the show. In 2022, Aniston’s longtime hairstylist, Chris McMillan , (who is behind the iconic “Rachel” haircut ) posted an Instagram of himself alongside Aniston, who was wearing said prairie dress.

Aniston shared the throwback on her Instagram Story. “Does the dress look familiar? Still got it!” her caption read. While Aniston’s new haircut was the purpose of McMillan’s post, it quickly went viral because of the dress, which had Friends fans going wild over her nostalgic outfit.

A post shared by Chris McMillan (@mrchrismcmillan) Aniston, too, is just as thrilled that ’90s fashion is back. In a 2016 interview with Vogue , she became practically giddy when she was told that the Friends aesthetic had officially returned. You have successfully subscribed.

My red squared-toe loafers might actually be making a comeback, that’s awesome. See, it’s coming back — I knew it.

I also have those nice high-waisted jeans. I’m so glad I didn’t throw any of those out. I loved the ’90s.

” As Friends fans will recall, Aniston, like Rachel, has, well, a thing for sleeveless turtlenecks. At the 30th anniversary special , Aniston dressed the part in a black turtleneck and then proceeded to share a photo of herself alongside TV stills of her character from Friends wearing near-identical sweaters in multiple colors. While Aniston poked fun at the unintentional twinning moment at the time, it’s not uncommon to see It girls everywhere — Bella Hadid , Hailey Bieber , Kaia Gerber — sporting the same baby tees and mom jeans that Aniston helped put on the map.

In fact, TikTok has a name for it: Rachelcore..
