Court rules against Issue 3

Votes for a voter-led ballot issue intended to expand access to medical marijuana for qualified patients in Arkansas won’t be counted after the Arkansas Supreme Court ruled the initiative’s ballot title was “plainly misleading” in a 4-3 decision on Monday. In addition to expanding access to medical marijuana, Issue 3 would have made changes to two laws already on the books regarding the state legislature’s ability to amend or repeal constitutional amendments.
