Court date set for man accused of alleged 'child' sex offences

Jon Scott, of Edgecombe Road, Headington, has been charged with two counts, as well as being an adult who attempted to engage in sexual communication with a child and attempted to cause/incite a girl to engage in sexual activity. Scott is accused of attempting to engage in sexual community with whom he thought was a young girl on November 20, 2023 in Oxford. He is also accused of asking the ‘girl’ to see her genitals.

Scott is now due to appear at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 15 for his first hearing at 10am. It is unknown if he will be asked to plea to the offences..
