Council blitz on derelict city sites scourge as 2,000 owners are sent levy notices

An enforcement drive to eradicate derelict sites that are blighting Irish cities has seen more than 2,000 statutory notices issued by local authorities to site owners in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick, new figures show.
