Karaoke is livestreamed all day everyday One of Liverpool's most iconic pubs have issued a plea to their customers. Tucked away from the main stretch of pubs on Ranelagh Street sits Coopers Townhouse a small and unassuming pub nestled at the corner of Cases Street, near Clayton Square. At first glance, Coopers is a humble pub, one that could easily pass you by.
But t hat couldn't be further from the truth . What happens inside of its four walls has kept customers coming back for decades. The pub has gained a large social media following over the years as a result of their continuous live streams which capture all the pub's ongoings including all day karaoke.
With over 85,000 followers on Instagram and over a quarter of a million followers on TikTok Coopers is famed for its live streaming. This morning the independent family run pub have asked supporters for help. In a statement they have posted to their social media accounts they said: "We ask that you post in the spirit of Coopers.
We love sharing our pub, our atmosphere and our amazing community with the world. "We are grateful for all our customers and singers and all our social media followers. We have gained tens of thousands of followers this year and receive thousands of comments daily.
Unfortunately, a minority of comments can be rude, personal and not in the spirit of Coopers. Coopers continued: "We ask that when you comment on Coopers you consider that you are commenting on real people, in a real pub, in a real world. If you can't follow this guidance then you will be blocked and reported.
" Speaking to the ECHO in April, the manager of the pub Maria Azzopardi thanked the likes of TikTok for keeping the unique atmosphere that is hard to come by in any other venue located across the city centre, particularly during the week. People will come from far and wide to visit Coopers and Maria thinks this is not only down to TikTok but word of mouth too. A couple visited the pub earlier this year rom Germany after they watched a video of the karaoke online.
They booked flights that same night to arrive in Liverpool first thing in the morning and booked the last flight home. They spent the whole day in Coopers and even got up for a song or two. Fans of the city centre pub took to the comments of the latest social media plea to offer their support.
One comment said: "Love this message! Coopers is all about community and respect let’s keep it positive." Another comment said: "Love it when the singers get up, it does not matter good or not. So good, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and seem very friendly, looks as though you have a great pub, great customers, and staff.
They seem happy and throw themselves into having a bit of fun alongside the customers." Messages came from as far as America with one fan replying: "Just love this place been watching the videos from over a year now I have made many friends from over there. I am from Pennsylvania United States and there is no other place that I would rather watch than Coopers.
".
