Paul McCartney will be coming to Manchester later this week for what is set to be some of the biggest shows of the year. The Beatles superstar, who has also released songs as a solo artist and with the likes of bands including Wings and The Fireman, will be playing at Co-op Live on Saturday and Sunday night (December 14 and 15). The sold–out shows , which form part of the European leg of his Got Back world tour , will follow recent performances in Paris and Madrid.
The Manchester shows will be followed by two nights at London’s The O2 next week. The venue’s official car parking spaces for Sunday (December 15) are now fully sold out.
In a message on social media, venue bosses said: “There is no further parking available on 15 Dec. Paul's two shows at Manchester's Co-op Live form part of the European leg of his Got Back world tour (Image: Getty Images) “A park and ride service will be available from the Booth Street West Carpark on the University of Manchester Campus. The car park will open from 8am-12.
30am 8:00, with shuttle buses operating from 4pm-12am.” For those attending Saturday’s show, there are still a number of spaces available in the 'blue' and 'orange' zones, starting from £25. There are also accessible spots available.
It has also been previously announced that there will be an extra train service running after Sunday night’s gig in a bid to help fans from Paul’s Liverpool hometown get back. The TransPennine Express service will leave Manchester Airport at 12.50am early Monday morning (December 16) before calling at Manchester Piccadilly at 1.
