Cooler Thursday, with another round of spring showers at night

Rain will hold off for much of Thursday, but overcast skies will keep temperatures close to 50 degrees before rain moves in during the evening.

Thursday will be another pleasant but seasonable spring day for much of the Northland, with clouds increasing throughout the day. Highs look to stay around the upper 40s close to Lake Superior and 50s further away from the lake, with a light north wind. By Thursday night, we are keeping an eye on showers that will slide in from the west, and continue to bring spotty showers for much of the overnight hours, but rain will remain under a quarter of an inch.

ADVERTISEMENT Winds will pick up a little for Friday as we wrap up the week with another partly cloudy day for most of the region. Wind will stay out of the northeast, keeping temperatures along the shoreline near 50 degrees, but a few spots away from the lake could make it into the upper 50s. Through the weekend, we stay dry early on, but the chance for showers will loom at the end of Sunday.

Mostly cloudy skies will blanket the Northland for both days, and heading into Sunday night, there will be a better chance for another round of April showers, which look to continue into next week..
