Cooler temperatures and winds staying breezy to wrap up the weekend

Highs drop into the 60s this afternoon even with plenty of sun, as we look to stay mild to wrap up the weekend around Rochester

Today will be a breezy day with some rustling leaves throughout the region, however temperatures still remain rather fall-like this afternoon after a warmer day yesterday. Highs stay in the low 60s as winds out of the NW at 15-25 mph will keep cooler air moving in to southeast Minnesota despite abundant sunshine throughout the morning. Tonight we could get a bit chilly, as winds will begin to calm down this evening.

Where we see clear skies, which currently looks to be most of the region, could see temperatures drop into the upper 30s throughout most of the region. Then to start the week, we get a few clouds moving in throughout the morning tomorrow, and highs till top out in the upper 60s. ADVERTISEMENT However we do not look to stay cool for long, because as we head into the middle of the week, we get plenty of sunshine returning, and a stretch of days in the upper 70s and low 80s beginning Tuesday, which currently looks to linger on into the start of next weekend for a warm and mild week ahead around Rochester.
