PHOENIX — The United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of its founding in 2026 and the Grand Canyon State is already preparing for the celebrations. The Arizona Secretary of State's Office is currently hosting a statewide contest to pick an Arizona-themed logo for the upcoming semiquincentennial events, which will commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The agency has unveiled the top 10 finalists for designs submitted by artists throughout the state and residents have until Dec.
12 to vote for their favorite logo. The contest's winner will have their design featured in all "Arizona America250" branding and will have the chance to attend semiquincentennial events as a VIP guest. Some designs showcase Arizona's economic outputs like cotton and copper, some display a silhouette of the iconic red rock vistas, while others celebrate the state's deep ties to Native American communities.
