Constance Lake First Nation man charged with trafficking meth

CONSTANCE LAKE FIRST NATION, Ont. – A Constance Lake First Nation man is facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation in the community. The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service said in a media release on Tuesday that officers working out of the detachment in Constance Lake First Nation responded to a call involving a missing ATV battery on Monday.

During the investigations, officers came into contact with a man appearing to be in violation of several conditional release orders issued by the court. The man was taken into custody and it was revealed he was also in possession of a quantity of crystal methamphetamine. The 29-year-old man was charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking and five counts of failing to comply with a release order.



The man made a brief court appearance and was remanded into custody with a future court date..
