Jake Oettinger made 31 stops for the Stars. Game Recap At 18:37 of the first period, Niederreiter broke the scoreless tie with a tip-in off a Josh Morrissey one-timer from the point that went past the blocker of Oettinger. Barron made it 2-0 at 3:37 of the second, taking the puck from the red line, past the Dallas defenders and straight to the net, beating Oettinger on the right side, just inside the post.
Connor scored his 39th of the season at 6:20 of the final period on a breakaway shot that beat Oettinger five-hole, to make the score 3-0. Connor put the nail in the coffin with his 40th of the season at 8:40. From the left boards in the offensive end, Morrissey fed Jaret Anderson-Dolan , who tipped a pass to a wide-open Connor, who beat Oettinger glove-side.
The Jets outshot the Stars 35-24. Both teams went 0-for-1 on the power play. Up Next Both teams are back in action on Saturday night.
