Conman arrested for diverting attention of elderly women

Pune: The city police crime branch claimed to have detected six cases of cheating by diverting attention of elderly people and stealing gold ornaments from them. A 30-year-old conman Hamid Khan from Loni Kalbhor was arrested on April 19. Inspector Wahid Pathan from the crime branch (unit VI) said Khan was arrested from his hideout following a tip-off.

Pathan said gold ornaments and a bike collectively worth Rs 8.68 lakh were recovered from Khan.
