The Senator was reacting to President Trump’s abrupt pause on a sweeping set of tariffs that already sent stock prices skyrocketing. Senator Schiff told the Time newspaper on Wednesday that he is “going to do my best to find out” about what transpired in the White House that triggered Trump’s latest decision.

I hope to find out soon.” Similarly, in a spot on his official X microblogging platform, the Congressman accused Trump of “creating giant market fluctuations with his on-again, off-again tariffs”.
