NEW DELHI: Racing against the ticking clock and growing pessimism, AAP and Congress met again on Saturday evening for talks on an alliance for Haryana elections . The negotiations are stuck on Congress' opposition to AAP's demand of specific constituencies which Congress argues will turn its winnable seats into losing ones and benefit BJP. AAP MP Raghav Chadha met Congress Haryana in-charge Deepak Babaria for the third consecutive day, after which the Congress functionary said, "Nothing has been finalised as of now, it will be done by tomorrow or the day after.

" The last date to file nominations is Sept 12. Both the parties expressed hope of success in sealing the deal. AAP's Chadha said, "Ummeed hai, umeed pe duniya kayam hai.

..(the world lives on hope).

" According to AAP sources, it is not just about the number of seats but also the quality of seats. The INDIA allies are trying to a find a way to come to an agreement, a leader said. Congress sources said the party is unwilling to leave more than 3-4 seats for AAP.

A senior leader said AAP has to agree to the seats that Congress is ready to offer, arguing the Arvind Kejriwal-led party is seeking constituencies where failure of vote transfer between the allies will benefit BJP. He cited the example of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency, which AAP contested in alliance, and lost. Amid the deadlock, AAP also flexed its muscles.

Top party strategist Sandeep Pathak said AAP is ready to contest all 90 seats, adding, "We are fully prepared and waiting for the party's order. As soon as we get the 'go', we will announce everything. We are prepared to fight the elections with full force on all seats and those who underestimate us will themselves regret it in the future.
