Class 2A Century Conference champion Seton LaSalle dominated the final three quarters and defeated Washington 52-28 Friday night at Wash High Stadium. The loss prevented Washington (3-3, 5-5) from clinching an automatic playoff berth. For the Prexies to advance to the postseason they must be chosen as a wild card by the WPIAL’s football committee.

The game was tied 14-14 after one quarter, but Seton LaSalle (6-0, 9-0) rolled up 38 points after that point. Wash High scored in the first quarter on a 49-yard run by quarterback Tristan Reed and an 82-yard kickoff return by Blaise Naraskivitch. The Prexies’ Caleb Patton caught a 38-yard TD pass from Reed in the third quarter and Ameer Nelson ran 17 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.



Washington’s Trenton Grooms rushed for 137 yards on 21 carries. The Prexies had 330 yards of total offense, inclduing 269 on the ground. Seton LaSalle passed for 326 yards.
