Stomp does not have a story line like a traditional musical or play. There is no dialogue or plot. Instead, the eight-member troupe uses everything but conventional percussion instruments — matchboxes, wooden poles, brooms, garbage cans, Zippo lighters and hubcaps, and other items — to fill the stage with rhythms.
