COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A Columbia man was charged with several child sex crimes on Friday. Tarl Williams, 38, was charged with two counts of statutory sodomy of a child younger than 12 years old and one count of statutory sodomy of a child younger than 14 years old.

He is being held without bond at the Boone County Jail and a court date has not been set. According to the probable cause statement, multiple child victims described sexual assaults by Williams. The children stated the assaults began when they were very young, the statement says.



Williams was arrested on Thursday in a Fazoli’s parking lot and initially denied the allegations to police before admitting to the allegations in an interview, the statement says. Williams is also charged with misdemeanor driving while revoked in another case and appeared for an arraignment on Friday. He has a hearing scheduled for 1 p.

m. Monday in that case, and a second hearing is set for 1 p.m.
