It's the end of an era at The Citadel mall. After nearly 35 years, the Hooters restaurant at the Colorado Springs shopping center will be closing its doors, according to a social media post on the Hooters Colorado Facebook page Friday. The restaurant, known for its chicken wings and scantily-clad waitresses, was the only location in Colorado Springs; its last day of business will be Sunday.

"It’s been one incredible ride since we first opened in 1990 — cold beers, hot wings, and even hotter memories with the best fans around!" read the social media post. Other locations in Colorado will remain open, including in Aurora, Lone Tree, Loveland and Westminster, according to the restaurant chain. Hooters, Inc.
