Central played competitively in the first quarter (26-18), but LSU had a 37-0 edge in the second quarter. Kyla Bryant (Salisbury) had three points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in the loss to the seventh-ranked Tigers. LSU coach Kim Mulkey recorded her 100th win with the Tigers.

••• BLUEFIELD, Va. — Sophomore Icecis Nwafor (Salisbury) had four points and three rebounds in nine minutes of action as Bluefield State (3-3) trounced rival Bluefield 79-50 in its most recent action. ••• NORTH EASTON, Mass.

— MaKayla Noble (Salisbury) has made it back from a knee injury. She saw her first action of the season for Albany in an 80-59 win at Stonehill on Sunday. Noble played two minutes and scored her first college bucket.

••• MARS HILL — Freshman Lauren Arnold (West Rowan) did not see action for Mars Hill in Saturday’s 78-74 South Atlantic Conference loss at Tusculum. Arnold has played in four games. ••• CHARLOTTE — D’Ajua Cuthbertson (West Rowan) scored two points for Johnson & Wales in a 70-45 romp against Morris in the team’s most recent action.

Johnson & Wales (5-3) will play at Salem on Wednesday. ••• WILMINGTON — No stat updates were available this week, but De’Mya Phifer (West Rowan) has helped Cape Fear Community College start 6-0. ••• COLUMBIA, S.

C. — Bethany Rymer (South Rowan) and her Columbia International teammates will return to action on Wednesday at Bluefield. Neither team has won a game yet, so that will be one to keep an eye on.
