CHEYENNE – Northeastern Junior College got revenge on the Laramie County Community College volleyball team after falling to the Golden Eagles in the opening round of the Region IX tournament on Wedensday. On Saturday, Northeastern controlled the contest to hand LCCC a 25-17, 25-15, 25-23 loss in the final match of the tournament. The loss ended the Golden Eagles' season one win shy of making the NJCAA national tournament.
Nina Jasiecka and McKienna Kehl led the team with eight kills apiece. Lea Susoy and Elysiana Fonseca added seven kills each, as well. Addison Schreurs added 14 digs and 18 assists to lead the team.
LCCC committed 23 attacking errors and had a hitting percentage of just .131..
