Press release from Catawba College SALISBURY —- Catawba College announced a change in leadership of the softball program on Tuesday morning. Allie Marshall Lyerly (Class of 2010) will serve as the interim head coach during the 2025 season. A 2024 Catawba College Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, two-time All-Region selection and 2007 SAC Freshman of the Year, Lyerly most recently served as an assistant coach for the Catawba Indians.

Catawba softball will kick off their 2025 campaign in Spartanburg, S.C. on Saturday, Feb.

1, taking on Glenville State and Lynn. They make their home debut on Tuesday, Feb. 11 versus Lees-McRae.
