Simmons began to see some playing time on the football field last year. He featured in nine games off the bench, including when Dart was injured against Georgia in November.Simmons completed five of six passes for 64 yards and a touchdown to spark Ole Miss into life.
ESPN labeled him a four-star quarterback recruit out of high school and he’ll get a chance to show his skills more often in 2025.If football doesn’t work out, Simmons could always turn his attention back to baseball.That option was available to Mahomes before he went on to an already legendary NFL career.
