The 2024 Maui Invitational field features a ton of talented teams. UConn, Memphis, Auburn, Iowa State, Michigan State, and North Carolina are some of the teams in the field. On Monday, the tournament started with Memphis and UConn facing off.
However, Memphis stunned everybody by topping the defending national champions in a 99-97 final. Memphis was up by double digits with just a couple of minutes left before Solo Ball tied the game at 82 with a three-pointer. Then, overtime featured double technical fouls, and a technical foul call on UConn head coach Dan Hurley.

It's a tough pill to swallow for UConn and Hurley in the first game of the Maui Invitational.
