The mum-of-four has turned down multiple opportunities to appear on television, but after her time in the Australian jungle she is now keen to be on TV after a successful "test run". During her time in the jungle, Coleen really impressed the ITV bosses and won a legion of new fans thanks to her humble anecdotes and hard working attitude. Coleen came runner up on the 24th season of I'm A Celebrity.
..Get Me Out of Here!, with Mcfly's Danny Jones securing the win with 55.
2% of the vote. Although she did come close to being crowned the Queen of the jungle with 44.8% of the public vote, according to rounded figures shared by the show, the Echo reports.
Despite not winning the crown, Coleen could still become the show's biggest winner, with a TV insider stating: "Her time on I'm A Celebrity only solidified what the execs already knew - Coleen is a natural on screen." "Her authenticity and charm made her an immediate favourite with viewers. She has been approached time and time again to do more TV but now it is going to happen.
" The source adds: "I'm A Celebrity was the test run that ITV wanted to see. ITV has long had their eyes on her for a big role, and now, with her performance as runner-up, they're ready to offer her one of the most exciting daytime TV slots on the channel. She's set to become one of TV's biggest stars.
A big deal is certainly in the offing!" More than 7 million people tuned in to watch the finale of the show on Sunday, which is almost half a million more views than last years finale - where Sam Thompson was crowned the King of the jungle. Speaking direct from Australia to Good Morning Britain earlier this week, Coleen said she felt ready to take on the show this time around, as her children are older and she wanted a "challenge", describing it as as an experience she will "never forget" and admitted it was "really hard" at times. "You what was my fear going in? It wasn't the trials, it wasn't the sleeping outside or the critters – it was karaoke and cooking," she confessed.
"And I didn't have to cook because we had some cooks in there. And the karaoke night, I enjoyed everyone else and I had a singalong, but I stuck to me guns, I don't do karaoke, so why would I go on a show and think I had to do it?" "What you see is what you get and I think even my campmates were surprised," she said. "I think they thought: 'Oh she she lives in a nice house. She's used to luxury.
' I don't mind getting stuck in. "I'm a mum of four boys, we go on trail walks, we go into ponds, we go into lakes, we get dirty. I clean up after them.
I'm strong and I don't mind mucking in and getting busy with things. And the one thing that everyone said to me, and I knew I was going to stick to throughout the jungle, was to stay true to myself." Get the latest celebrity gossip and telly news sent straight to your inbox.
