Cold weather alert issued for Norfolk as snow and ice expected

People across Norfolk have been warned there is a "greater risk of life" to those who are vulnerable as a spell of cold weather hits the county. The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a cold health alert until 9am on Saturday. The alert means the forecast cold weather is expected to impact health and social care services.

It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow across the western half of the county between midday on Saturday and 9am on Monday. It warned of possible travel delays on roads along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
