Coffee shop to open this weekend almost year after planned date

Residents of Westbourne have been long awaiting the opening of Coffee #1 on Poole Road after a planning application was lodged at the end of 2023. A spokesperson for the chain previously said the site planned to open in May 2024, but to no avail. Almost a year after the planned date, Coffee #1 has announced it will open on Sunday, April 13 at 10am.

An eagle-eyed resident spotted signage on the window of the new site, promoting the set date Coffee #1 currently has sites in Wimborne Road in Winton, Southbourne Grove in Southbourne, Commercial Road in Parkstone, High Street in Poole and Meeting House Lane in Ringwood. The new location will takeover the former NatWest bank, which was vacant for more than six years before being replaced by the coffee chain..
