The music programs at the College of Charleston (CofC) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) will present a concert celebrating the Connecting Classrooms across Campuses (CCaC) initiative on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Simons Center for the Arts.

This collaboration fosters institutional learning, interdisciplinary engagement and student experiential opportunities through faculty and student exchanges. The performance will bring together renowned violin professors Lee-Chin Siow (CofC) and Ambroise Aubrun (UNLV), along with their talented students, as well as students mentored by Wei-Wei Le (UNLV), in an unforgettable showcase of virtuosity and musical artistry. Local musician Ana Hamilton will perform on piano.

The program will feature a captivating selection of works, including Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins, Sarasate’s fiery Navarra, Dont’s intricate quartet as a violin choir and compelling violin duos by Prokofiev and Shostakovich. The CCaC initiative would not have been possible without the visionary support of Courtney Howard, a vice president at the College of Charleston. Through CCaC, both institutions are strengthening academic ties and expanding collaborative opportunities, enriching the educational experience for students and faculty alike.

Cost of general admission is $25 and $10 for students with I.D. Buy tickets online or from George Street Box Office in person at 44 George St.
