Coca-Cola initially launched the "first-of-its-kind" campaign back in 2013, which saw the iconic logo replaced with people's names. Now the 'Share a Coke' campaign is back, with personalised Coca-Cola products to begin hitting UK shelves from May. The new 'Share A Coke' campaign is set to see Coca-Cola introduce even more names for customers to choose from, created by its unique customisation platform.
These include nicknames, surnames and/or personal terms of endearment. For the first time ever, Brits will also be able to choose from a range of other nicknames and phrases around friendship, such as: My Bestie My Bae My Mate My Fam My Day One A Coca-Cola spokesperson added: "Users can create a truly unique Coca-Cola pack to express appreciation for friends, family, and loved ones. "It's a simple gesture that can strengthen connections.
" If you can’t find your name in store, simply scan the QR code (on pack or point of sale), which will take you to the “Share a Coke” digital hub. To celebrate the re-launch, Coca-Cola has also created the Share a Coke Memory Maker – an online digital experience that allows you to create memes with your friends and family. Personalised Coca-Cola products, part of the "Share a Coke" campaign, will be available in stores across the UK from May 1.
Senior marketing director UK & Ireland at Coca-Cola, Elodie Peribere, said: "'Share a Coke' is about celebrating the magic of human connections, one personalised Coca-Cola pack at a time. "Returning after its initial popularity in 2013, we’re excited to be able to give consumers more ways to connect over a Coca-Cola. "Given the nation’s fondness for nicknames, Brits have the chance to personalise a can with a surname, term of affection or nickname of choice, meaning people can create something totally unique to them.
