A Coca-Cola distributor has announced a voluntary recall of more than 10,000 cans of the soft drink, . A total of 864 12-packs — that’s a total of 10,368 cans — are included in the recall due to potential plastic contamination. The recalled items were distributed in Illinois and Wisconsin.

The recall was issued on March 6. On March 24, the FDA designated it as a Class II recall, which the agency as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.” The FDA shared the following information about the recalled cans: The FDA did not provide any course of action consumers should take if they have the affected items.
