Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to implement strict security measures for Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr celebrations to ensure public safety. She has instructed an increased deployment of women police squads in markets to protect women and children. In Lahore, security has been heightened at 65 commercial centers, with additional police personnel on duty.
Surveillance is being conducted using drone cameras and night vision binoculars to monitor any suspicious activity. To curb one-wheeling on Chand Raat , checkpoints have been established at 55 locations, while 225 police officers have been stationed near ATMs and banks to ensure public security.
