CM Maryam orders strict security measures on Eid

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the police authorities to implement comprehensive security measures for Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, ensuring the safety of citizens.

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the police authorities to implement comprehensive security measures for Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, ensuring the safety of citizens. To enhance security, she has ordered an increased deployment of women police squads in markets to protect women and children. In Lahore, additional police personnel have been stationed at 65 key commercial centers, with drone cameras and night vision binoculars being used for advanced surveillance.

Strict monitoring of suspicious activity in markets has also been mandated. To curb reckless activities such as one-wheeling on Chand Raat, authorities have set up checkpoints at 55 locations across the city. Additionally, 225 police officers have been deployed near ATMs and banks to enhance public safety and prevent any untoward incidents.
