Mostly cloudy Friday in SoCal, with highs near 65 degrees.

Friday is the final day of this week's mild weather streak before a slight warm up takes hold. There's a slight chance of light showers in the evening with below normal temperatures, according to that National Weather Service. Instability over the eastern part of the San Gabriels near Wrightwood could bring brief showers in the afternoon.

Overall, our cloudy skies should clear in the afternoon. Highs in Los Angeles will mostly stay in the mid 60s with lows around 51 degrees. The beaches will be partly sunny, with a high near 61.

Then, mostly clear at night with a low around 52. Patchy fog could come to Santa Monica after 11 p.m.

The mountains will be cooler, with a high near 54. The slow moving low pressure system will move out ahead of the weekend, bringing slightly warmer temperatures across Southern California. Temperatures could increase between 10 and 15 degrees for the valleys and inland areas.
