A modern history museum is set to host a classic car event. Eden Camp, in partnership with Coast and County Radio, will host Drive It Day on Sunday, April 27. The event will raise funds for the NSPCC's Childline.

Drive It Day, organised by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC), celebrates the One Thousand Mile Trial of 1900, which showcased the viability of the motor vehicle. The event will also mark the launch of Coast and County Radio's new Ryedale transmitter on 106.7FM.

Luke Hudman, marketing manager at Eden Camp, said: "We’re thrilled to welcome classic car lovers to Eden Camp for Drive It Day. "It’s an incredible opportunity to celebrate transport heritage while raising funds for Childline, a charity that does vital work supporting children in need. "We look forward to seeing the museum filled with stunning classic cars and passionate motoring enthusiasts.

" John Hodgson at Coast and County Radio said: "Drive It Day is a fantastic way to bring communities together, celebrating both automotive history and an important charitable cause. "We’re especially excited to coincide this event with the launch of our new Ryedale transmitter, which will help us reach even more listeners with great local content." Classic car owners can pre-book their spot for a discounted entry price of £5 per person, with all proceeds going to Childline.

Visitors can also purchase a special edition fundraising plate to display on Drive It Day. General museum tickets are available for booking online via https://edencamp.co.
