Class IX student’s death turns controversial in Nizamabad

A private school has been accused of negligence because of which a young student lost his life in Nizamabad. Class IX student Shiva Jashvith Reddy of Bodhan, studying at the Kakatiya Residential School, died on Friday in a hospital following two days of illness. According to parents and students, Jashvith Reddy, complained of vomiting and uneasiness on Thursday and Friday and was unable to attend classes.

His parents were informed and the student was shifted to a hospital in Nizamabad, where he died. Student union leaders blamed the negligence of school management for the tragedy. They submitted a memorandum to the district officials demanding action against the school management.



Jashvith Reddy’s death went viral on social media. Reacting to the charges, Kakatiya educational institutions director Ch. Rajanikanth said that the school management took all steps to save the boy’s life.

Rajanikanth released purported CCTV footage from the school and hostel premises to show that Jashvith Reddy was active on Thursday and Friday. “His sudden death is quite shocking,” he said..
