Surat: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly molested by the supervisor while she was writing the Class 10 board exam in a school in the Limbayat area. The incident occurred at the school on March 6 when the victim was writing her Gujarati subject exam. Limbayat police booked the supervisor for molestation under BNS and POCSO.

According to the details of the complaint filed by her parent, the girl was allotted a seat in room 16 (block 29) of the school. When she started writing the answers, the supervisor of the exam allegedly started molesting her. He held the hand of the victim with wrongful intent and started passing obscene comments.

The accused supervisor told the girl to take his mobile number so that they could enter into a ‘relationship'. He told the victim that if she followed the steps of the ‘relationship' given by him, he would ensure that she cleared the exam even if she did not write all the answers. The accused also kept staring at the victim during the paper.

Limbayat police inspector told TOI: "We are verifying the facts based on the statements of the victim and other witnesses. We have also procured the CCTV footage and are investigating it." Surat district education officer (DEO) Dr Bhagirathsinh Parmar told TOI: "We have CCTV cameras in all the classrooms during the board exam.

We will have the copy of the footage of the day. We will check the footage and take necessary actions once the allegations are found to be true.".
