3, council members and city administration will be available on-site to answer questions people have about municipal matters. Last year’s session was said to be a success. The city hopes to get a bigger turnout and more responses to their requests for public feedback.

“Engage Grande Prairie is a great opportunity for residents to voice their thoughts and viewpoints on issues that impact our community,” said Jackie Clayton, the city’s mayor. Several topics are on the agenda including the upcoming budget, Bear Creek Dam, Cedar Point, city events, Grande Prairie Police Service, parks, and transit. The line-up isn’t meant to quash conversation about other issues.

But they do include areas of focus for 2025. The format is open. Everyone is welcome and can drop by Eastlink Centre during event hours.

There’s also the ability to provide one’s point of view or choose what projects they feel deserve priority. The is a viewable budget break down. It also has space for choosing projects and proving your written feedback or questions.

What’s most important is the engagement, said Clayton. “This event plays a crucial role in creating valuable connections and strengthening our relationships. We look forward to interacting with residents on important topics like the 2025 Budget, allowing Council to gain a clearer understanding of our community’s priorities.
