The city of Arlington has made a decision on AT&T Stadium following Monday night's roof issue. Monday night's game went bad in more ways than one for the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones' team fell to the Houston Texans, 34-10, on Monday evening, dropping to 3-7 on the season.
Before the game, a piece of the AT&T Stadium roof fell off, as the Cowboys were attempting to open it up. Thankfully, no one was harmed, but the Cowboys had to close the roof for the game. The City of Arlington has since inspected the stadium and made a decision on its safety.
Matthew Ashton - AMA/Getty Images City of Arlington communications coordinator Susan Schrock announced on Wednesday that everything with the stadium has checked out and it'll be good moving forward. “Our building inspector and our deputy fire marshal did talk to AT&T Stadium crews today and determined that there weren’t any structural issues with the venue or the roof,” Schrock said. “And that this was in fact just a piece of metal that was a covering lid to one of these cable trays that was blown off by a gust of wind.
” The Cowboys will probably be keeping their stadium roof closed in the future, though. Dallas will be on the road this weekend, taking on the Washington Commanders in Landover, Maryland. The Cowboys will return home on Thursday, Nov.
28 against the New York Giants. Kickoff between the Cowboys and the Giants is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
E.T. on Thanksgiving Day.
The game will air on FOX..
