CinemaCon: Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Sets New Release Date For 2027

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has a new release date, with a 2027 release announced at CinemaCon. Sony Pictures announced at the event that the third film in the Spider-Verse franchise will release on June 4th, 2027. The move comes four years after Across the Spider-Verse released.

The second film in the series bowed on June 2nd, 2023 and grossed $690.8 million worldwide. Bob Persichetti and Justin K.



Thompson are directing the new film from a script by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller & David Callaham. It was previously set to release on March 29th, 2024 but was removed from the calender July 2023 due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Plot details have not been revealed for the new film, though it will follow up on the events of Across The Spider-Verse .
