The makers of CID seem to be in deep trouble. After days of outrage over Shivaji Satam’s character, ACP Pradyuman’s death and Parth Samthaan becoming the new ACP on the show, now the show is making the headlines yet again for all the wrong reasons. Recently, a popular graffiti artist took to their social media handle and accused the makers of the show of stealing clips of graffiti and other artists’ works from YouTube videos without proper attribution.
He seems to have deleted the video. A post shared by Sony Entertainment Television (@sonytvofficial) As reported by News18, the Mumbai-based artist Mooz Graffiti took to his Instagram handle and shared a clip, alleging that makers of CID not only used his artwork with proper permission, but also directly lifted it from YouTube videos, which amounts to copyright infringement. The video started with a scene from CID.
He went on to address the audience directly sharing the ordeal he is facing. He added, “But it’s not just me, Zake, Elmart and a lot of other people’s artwork has been featured here.
But the funny part is that instead of going out on the street and shooting the artwork or hiring a person to show the vandalism, you chose to take it from a YouTube video. I found that funny.” A post shared by MOOZ GRAFFITI (@mooz.
