Norwich City are in line for a windfall on Christos Tzolis, with the Greek winger reportedly closing in on a move to Belgian champions Club Brugge. The Greek winger impressed on loan in the Bundesliga Two last season at Fortuna Dusseldorf, who activated their buy clause of around £3m to sign Tzolis on a permanent basis last month. But that deal was always with a view of Fortuna making a quick profit on the 22-year-old before the start of the fresh campaign.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Tzolis is closing in on a €6.5m move to Club Brugge and is set for a medical on Tuesday. There has been plenty of interest in the winger since the conclusion of the campaign.

com/7qdQgn0wO8 Norwich are entitled to 10pc of any transfer fee, meaning they would receive around €650k (£552k) should the deal be finalised. The clause that Brugge have exploited was timed to last until July 15, with Tzolis supposedly making his desire not to play another season in the German second tier clear after the end of their season. For Tzolis, the move would see him play Champions League football with Brugge progressing to the group stages after winning the Belgian Pro League last season for the 19th tim.
