In this regard, the state Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts expresses his ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives like this, which would not only uplift the community, but also serve as a catalyst for local tourism. The Christmas Dreamville 2.0 is open until this Dec 25.



“By promoting events that celebrate our local culture, talents, and traditions, we are positioning Sarawak as a hub of creativity and festive cheer,” he stated in his opening remarks for the event held at The Hills shopping mall, here yesterday. Snowdan also described the event as an important platform for the local vendors, artisans and performers. “It is my hope that everyone here will take the time to explore the bazaar, support our local vendors, and enjoy the diverse array of products and experiences on offer.

” The Saturday evening event featured a tree-lighting ceremony, followed by a ‘snowing’ session, where artificial snow cascaded over the attendees, adding an extra touch of holiday magic to the occasion. The event was also supported by the Sarawak Craft Council Association, through exhibitions by Batik Linut Sdn Bhd and Pungu Borneo. Sponsored by Carlsberg Malaysia, the event offered live entertainment, a festive bazaar filled with unique gifts and local crafts, and various food and beverage stalls.
