Christine McGuinness spent time with Strictly Come Dancing professional Kai Widdrington after posing for a selfie together. The model and TV star, 36, attended the Pride of Britain Awards last week where she met up with the Strictly pro. They snapped a photo together while at the glitzy event and were seen chatting together outside London's Grosvenor House Hotel.
Kai recently split from fellow Strictly Come Dancing dancer Nadiya Bychkova . They started dating in 2022, but called it quits before the start of this year's BBC dance competition. Nadiya admitted to the Mirror that the former pair are "not friends".
Christine split from her husband Paddy McGuinness in 2022 and appeared happy talking to Kai at the event. The pair were seen walking out of the bash together before heading off home in separate taxis. "Kai was a true gent and waited until she was safely in a taxi home and gave her a friendly peck on the cheek goodbye," a source told The Sun .
Kai shared a selfie with Christine on the night and posted it to his Instagram account. Speaking about her break up with Kai, Nadiya said: "We work together but we are not friends and that’s okay. One thing I can tell you is that when you see me dancing with him it will be amazing because I’m a professional.
" Christine has reportedly been left distraught over her estranged husband Paddy as he made his standup comeback. The comedian is said to have poked fun at getting divorced from Christine, who he shares three children with, on the opening night of his new stand-up tour, Nearly There, in Blackburn. He reportedly said: "Tonight, folks, we're all here as human beings with one common goal - and that's to help me pay for my divorce.
I've had the pants down, me, the pants down." Christine was "distraught" over the thought of people "laughing" at her. A source told the Sun that the model felt "shocked" that former Top Gear presenter Paddy referenced her in such a way.
The source told the outlet: "She was devastated yesterday and was horrified to be a laughing stock, she didn't know Paddy was going to make her the butt of his jokes and felt shocked that he did. She has kept a respectful silence throughout their divorce proceedings and their marriage fallout." Christine and Paddy - who got married in 2011 - announced that they had separated in a joint statements shared on Instagram two years ago.
They said: "A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we're moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.
