Christina Aguilera just confirmed that an album is on the way. While walking the red carpet at the Breakthrough Prize 2025 ceremony on Saturday, the pop icon exclusively told The Mirror US, “No tour right now, it's record time.” The brief but loaded comment suggests she has traded tour buses for the recording studio.
Aguilera attended the star-packed event in Los Angeles wearing a showstopping look from Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2024 collection. The white chiffon gown featured a plunging neckline, corset bodice, and flowing sheer cape sleeves. She paired the dress with diamond jewelry from David Yurman, including a statement necklace and sparkling earrings.
Her blond hair was styled in a half-up, half-down look with soft curls falling over one shoulder. She finished her appearance with dark red lipstick and bold, dramatic eye makeup. Aguilera’s red carpet look was styled by Chris Horan, a frequent collaborator.
The pair has worked together for years on major style moments, including her Las Vegas residency and fashion campaigns. Horan’s styling often includes high-fashion picks from labels like Acne Studios, Diesel, Celine, and Marine Serre. Last month, Aguilera supported Horan at a private H&M dinner celebrating his body of work.
The singer wore a daring sheer jumpsuit with tie-dye patterns in black and beige and dramatic cutouts, another example of the stylist’s bold, edgy approach. At Saturday's event, Aguilera was joined by her longtime partner Matthew Rutler, posing for photos before heading inside to present an award. She shared the stage with OpenAI president Greg Brockman at the 11th annual ceremony, which has become known as the Oscars of Science. The Breakthrough Prize honors top scientists and mathematicians whose work has made a significant impact on the world.
The ceremony awarded more than $15 million in total prizes, with each winner receiving $3 million in the categories of Life Sciences, Fundamental Physics, and Mathematics. The guest list for the evening included a long lineup of A-list stars such as Drew Barrymore, Jessica Chastain, Lily Collins, Lizzo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Zoe Saldana, and Lauren Sanchez.
