The Christ Morning Star of Nigeria (CMSN), Lagos Chapter, has re-elected Star Ebenezer Sobowale as its President. He will steer the affairs of the group for another three years. The election drew unprecedented members from the Diocese of Lagos Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion); Lagos West Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion); Lagos Mainland Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion); and Badagry to witness the event.

Members adorned their traditional white and blue attire to cheer their leaders. The event started with a church service conducted by Rev’d Sola Adesanya, who represented the acting Vicar/Administrator of St Paul’s Anglican Church, Owutu, Ikorodu, Lagos, Ven Sunday Folorunsho Oginni. In his sermon, the cleric admonished members to always show love to one another, enjoining members to conduct their yearly general meeting/elections with decorum and allow Christ to always lead them.



Shortly after the end of the AGM, which featured the presentation of reports and accounts, members also asked questions, which the presiding President, Sobowale responded to and the House was dissolved thereafter. In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Electorate Committee, Mr. OkeowoO derinde, explained that his committee diligently elected the officers.

Those who were re-elected included Ebenezer Olusegun Sobowale (president), Odofin Adeola (vice president), Esther Omobolanle Hammed (general secretary), Samuel Kehinde Sanwoolu (assistant general secretary),Lucy Omojeme Ajayi (treasurer),Inamiyang Ann, (financial secretary), Olatunji Oguntuase (media/publicity secretary). Others are: Abisola Olufunmilola Arowolo, (social secretary),Olumide Sodamola, (welfare officer 1), Ogedengbe, (2nd vice chairman) and Mrs Omolara Akhigbe, (welfare 2). The post of auditors went to Sunday Olukolu and Ahmed A.

Yakubu, while ex-officio members are: AdetokunboOso and Gbenga Ogunwole..
