Chrishell Stause has given an intimate insight into her relationship with her spouse G Flip as she promotes Stan 's 'throuple' dating show Love Triangle 'It's not about this performative type of thing - it's really, truly listening to each other,' she said of the claim that LGBTQIA+ couples have better sex. 'I'm not saying that can't be the case in a straight relationship, but it just never was in mine.
' While she is now happily married, Chrishell admitted she was once involved in her very own love triangle. 'When I was in [a love triangle], I didn't know I was in one,' she explained. 'I didn't realise until after it was over and then I was like ''oh that's why it didn't work.
'' There was nothing I could have done.' While she is only taking on a hosting role on Love Triangle, Chrishell admitted she did consider starring on a dating show before meeting her spouse G Flip. Chrishell and the Australian drummer, who uses they/them pronouns, tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas wedding in May 2023 She explained she actually signed up to be the star of an unnamed dating show just a few years ago, but backed out after she met her 'soulmate'.
'I was approached to do The Bachelorette way back in the day,' she shared. 'I was [also] approached to do a dating show where I was picking someone right before I fell in love with G, so obviously I cancelled that whole idea. 'So it has been talked about in the past, so I was open to it.
But right when I thought I had my path figured out, I met my person.' Chrishell said she finally found love with G Flip after abandoning her ideas of her ideal partner . 'I am all for falling in love with the person and I don't think it really matters how tall someone is, what colour hair someone has, personally I don't care what gender someone is,' she said.
'I just feel like the perfect person should speak from a point of, if you went by exactly what you think you want, you might miss the best catch that there ever was for you. 'In throwing all that out of the window, I found my soulmate.' Chrishell Stause films Netflix show with Chris Appleton who drops his drinks Love Triangle's third season features a queer couple and Chrishell has applauded the move.
She said she doesn't want to see dating programs 'segregated' by sexuality anymore with versions exclusively for queer people. 'I love that! I don't think we have to segregate anymore where we have to say 'this is a queer dating show. I love the mix.
I think it was such a welcomed change,' she said. 'As soon as I started watching season two I got excited, and now here we are with season three. It's so amazing to see that implemented in such a way.
'In fact, a love triangle turned into a square at one point, it added more layers to the show than its ever had. 'I love the representation. If anything, it just makes it more interesting when we really envelope all of the stories, not just one type of story.
This is what the real world looks like, so let's embrace it.' Hinting at the drama to come during the show's reunion special, Chrishell teased that there was one bombshell reveal that left everyone with their jaws to the floor. She said there is a major betrayal in store for one participant, while one contestant was caught on camera making some shocking remarks.
'At one point, it was so shocking to everyone involved - there was a revelation that nobody knew that basically we had caught on camera,' she said. The Selling Sunset star, 43, is hosting the popular Australian reality TV show's first ever reunion special 'This season takes it to a whole new level. What we have is a hot mic moment where somebody didn't realise we had the footage.
' During the reunion special, Chrishell is set to probe the participants on all the tension from the third series and find the answers to viewers' burning questions. She admitted it was nice to be on that side of the exchange, rather than being in the hot seat like she usually is on Selling Sunset. 'I'm so excited to jump into this role, it felt a lot more comfortable being in the host seat not the hot seat,' she confessed.
'I was so excited because I'm normally such a fan and viewer of these types of shows so it was really nice to be able to ask exactly what I wanted to ask. 'Normally, I'm on the TV yelling at my screen, so it was nice.' Love Triangle follows five singletons as they attempt to find a more meaningful connection, being matched up blind after only speaking over text message.
After getting to know two singles virtually, they have to pick who they want to date in the real world and move in with them, before seeing each other face-to-face for the first time. The show, which sees participants form connections only for a third suitor to be added into their union, has never had a reunion before (past contestants are pictured) However, the rejected suitor will then also arrive at the share house and their connections are tested to the limits when two become three. The previous series of Love Triangle, which is created by the same producers of MAFS, included bombshells from secret girlfriends to cheating scandals.
Originally launched in 2022, the Australian series has since become an international sensation, with its format sold to multiple overseas territories. UK broadcaster Channel 4 commissioned a local version for their channel E4, while it's also available to stream on Stan. Every episode of seasons 1, 2 and 3 of Love Triangle are now streaming, only on Stan.
