In today’s fast-changing digital world, flashy new apps and platforms constantly appear—NFT trading, online investment schemes, and “passive income” models like Hahmm. They promise easy money, but many are nothing more than digital scams, targeting the dreams of young people. These platforms often provide small early returns to lure new users.
But they rely on money from new investors, not actual profits. Eventually, those who join late end up losing their savings. These are digital Ponzi schemes, unethical and unsustainable.
The tragedy is that, rather than building real futures, many young people are drawn into these traps, hoping for shortcuts. But there are no shortcuts to success—especially not in the digital economy. The true path to success lies in acquiring real, marketable skills: coding, digital marketing, graphic design, video editing, content creation, data analysis.
These skills empower individuals to build honest, sustainable careers. Shots Fired Unlike scam apps, skills do not disappear overnight. They offer security, confidence, and dignity.
Falling for scams not only causes financial loss but also leads to mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and, in extreme cases, self-harm. We must stop exploiting youth and start educating them. Let’s guide them towards building real digital careers through hard work and ethical growth.
Say no to scams. Say yes to skills. IRFAN ALI MANGI, Khairpur Mirs.
