Chloe Morello on the singer she admires for her ‘rock-chick style’

My outfits are quite understated. I’m more confident in my make-up looks, so tend to glam it up in that aspect. What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe? An embroidered lace top from the ’80s that I bought in Sorrento, Italy.

And the most recent addition? A cute Cancer Council bucket hat I can fold up in my handbag or pack for vacation without getting crushed. Also, a pair of Sass & Bide jeans with sequins on them. What would you wear .

.. on a first date? A little black dress with a wedge heel .

.. on a plane? A stretch jersey maxi-dress and my Golden Goose sneakers .

.. on the red carpet? I love a form-fitting dress and a sequin for events.

I wore a sparkly Rachel Gilbert dress for the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and felt so glamorous. What’s your favourite fashion era? The ’60s for the emergence of the sex kitten, Brigitte Bardot, the mod look, the fabulous make-up. A winged eyeliner tutorial was my first video to go viral on the internet.

What’s your fragrance of choice? I love a floral scent. I have hundreds but Chloé Eau de Parfum is my signature – I’ve worn it for at least 10 years. Is there a beauty product you can’t live without? The product I apply every day, multiple times a day, is Cancer Council’s “Hydration Boost” sunscreen.

Who are your favourite designers? I love Aussie labels like Bec + Bridge, Shona Joy and Suboo..
