China requests WTO consultation on new US tariffs

GENEVA: China said on Friday it had requested consultations at the World Trade Organisation on the United States' introduction of a new round of tariffs."China has filed the WTO complaint with respect to the United States' measures," said the Permanent Mission of China to the World Trade Organisation in a statement on Friday.The new tariffs were a blatant violation of WTO rules, it added.
