Children’s author and TV star David Walliams is celebrating the release of his latest book with a fan meet-and-greet. The former Britain’s Got Talent judge will be stopping off at Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe, near Dartford , to sign copies of his new book, the World’s Worst Superheroes. The Waterstones book signing is expected to draw large crowds, so ticketholders are being warned that queues will be likely.
A ticket will set you back £10 and includes entry to the signing and a copy of the new book, to be collected on the day. Parents who are coming with their children don’t need to buy a ticket, but numbers are limited to one adult per child. Fans are also encouraged to dress up as their favourite superheroes, with certificates being dished out for the best-dressed shoppers.
The new book is the eighth in the World’s Worst series, which also includes the World's Worst Children, the World's Worst Parents and the World's Worst Pets. David, 53, is also known for his extensive television work, including Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, which he created alongside co-star Matt Lucas. In more recent years, the comedy actor appeared as a judge on ITV talent show Britain’s Got Talent from 2012 to 2022 and hosted the award-winning David Walliams' Marvellous Musical Podcast.
