Matthew Guzman was charged with extortion, possession and distribution of child pornography and child luring after the search of a residence on rue Sainte-Rose in the Gatineau sector on March 19. Activate your Online Access Now Article content The search resulted in the seizure of cellphones, SIM cards, and laptop computers, said an April 2 news release from Gatineau police, adding that the investigation began following information received by the Ontario Provincial Police. Police said the case involved social-media exchanges.

Intimate photos were allegedly shared and, when the victim ignored additional requests for more images, the man allegedly shared the earlier images of her. The investigation is continuing, police said. Anyone who has been a victim or witnessed the sharing of intimate photos was encouraged to contact the Gatineau Police Service at 819-243-4636, option 5.
